IS ONE SUPPOSED TO REMOVE TE PLASTIC PROTECTIVE COVERS ON THE SCREEN AND THE TOP LID? I HAVE KEPT MINE ON UP TO NOW, I SUPPOSE IT GIVES EXTRA PROTECTION.
AM I THE ONLY ONE TO KEEP HEM ON OR DO OTHER MEMBERS DO THE SAME?
I believe the intention is that you remove them eventually although some people like to keep them on for as long as possible. In my opinion they are they to protect the NC10 during transport and packaging and I take them off almost straight away.
I took mine off straight away. But I see no reason why people should remove them if you prefer that extra protection. I think there also screen protectors available from eg ebay.
The outer one stayed on for a week or so, the screen one I found caused glare so that came off straight away.
Mine were off in a flash !lol

wahey!
I finally removed the cover over the screen a few days ago and I have to say the screen is much better without it.

Left both of mine on and they are still there 4 months on!
Eurgh! Off with the hideous plastic 😛
Mine were off instantly. But there is no reason why you couldn’t leave them on for a slight protection boost.
I took the screen one off immediately – the one on the top of the laptop (protecting from fingermarks etc) I have left on, and probably will do for a week or two, until I start to get less anal about fingerprints and smudges on it etc etc :p
I always remove the factory protectives as they are simply not meant to stay… just imagine that some sand or dirt comes between them and the nc10… ugly scratches!
