MemberHi,
A friend of mine has bought a white NC10 and I sold him my HP 19 inch screen (square) to add to it.
We plugged it in via the correct port and it worked – he was able to drag folders onto it and open them. But when he came to open PowerPoint, which is the main program he wants to use, he finds he cannot drag the main working window onto the HP screen.
I never had a problem with the HP screen.
Why can’t he get his PowerPoint working window onto the HP? Is it a resolution problem? Is it to do with the shape of the HP screen (square, when the NC10 is wide)?
Is it not possible to use additional screens with the NC10?
He bought the NC10 for practical space-saving reasons, not having a PC in his working studio and wanting something he can carry home. He’s only a light user.
Please go easy on me with answers… I am a long-term Mac user and am clueless with Windows, and he’s clueless with computers anyway!
If you have any answers, it will be the weekend now before we can try them out.
Thanks

MemberWhen I set my NC10 up on my external monitor I was messing with the display settings and having all kinds of trouble! Then my house mate walked behind me and pressed function and (F3 I think) the screen changing F-key. there are 4 options in there. You can have problems with things if you extend your desktop to teh second screen! I use CRT mode which turns off the 10″ display on the NC10 and gives me full use of the external display!
Hope that helps.

MemberThanks to repliers so far.
I am more optimistic now, but will have to wait till Sunday to try these ideas out.
Other readers, please post more ideas and I will surely try them out, and let you know. The more explicit, the better please!
Great.

MemberAhhhh F4 is it 🙂 Knew it was on the left hand side some where. The idisplay options are what i tried 1st and had a bit of trouble getting it set up the way I wanted. The F4 was muich quicker and easier. Love my NC10!
