I’m pretty OCD so I notice a lot of little things. I cut out a track pad protector from a set of Palm screen protectors and placed it on the pad to prevent the finish on the track pad from wearing down over time from my finger. The screen protectors from Palm don’t leave any adhesive behind should you want to remove them at a later time.
Thank you for this suggestion! Does it change the sensitivity or anything in any noticeable way?
I plan on preventing the trackpad wearing down by simply using a wireless mouse. I know this won’t be an option for everybody, but I cannot use the trackpad correctly without becoming extremely infuriated with it.
there are certain things you just can’t use a trackpad for.
this is a good call though witht he screen protectors. does it affect the sensitivity in any way?
I use these guys myself.
I cut out the protector and applied it the first time I got it so I can’t compare it to when it didn’t have it on. I don’t have any track pad sensitivity issues, gestures and the like register fine. You can always take it off if you don’t like it, I suggest getting a screen protector that does not leave any adhesive residue.
