Looks like we ALL have the same chipset, which isnt so surprising considering we all have the same model.
I’ve been told the only major difference between the two is that the GSE supports the newer 1.6 atom which will draw 2watts of power instead of 2.5 as ours does.

Well, there is some contradiction in this info. The Samsung NC10 manual clearly says it should have the 945GSE but mine certainly has the 945GME chipset. Could the people who voted that they have the 945GSE please tell how you checked this and what country that NC10 is bought?EDIT: After I really want to know what chipset is used I actually opened up my NC10, there is no info whatsoever printed on the mainboards chip. Before I have run programs like Sisoft Sandra and CPU-Z to detect the mainboard, bot report 945GME. After looking for another program that is newer and since I suspect that Sandra and CPU-Z might report incorrectly I download HWinfo:
http://www.hwinfo.comNow, the plot tightens, this program suggest that my NC10 does have the 945GSE chipset….
Does anyone else have some suggestions of a newly updated program that can detect the computers hardware except for HWinfo?

I get: 945GSE using HWinfo. Bought in California, USA last week from Newegg.December 9, 2008 at 8:53 pm #173558PanManMember945GSE here (NP-NC10-KA02UK)

THe GME and GSE are essentially the same thing, just slightly different hardware revs (GSE being newer and slightly less power so hopefully it is the one). If I remember right, the only thing the GSE brought new to the table was maybe slightly higher memory speed (now applicable to the netbooks since they are all limited anyway) and a TV out ability–again, not implemented anyway.
Driver wise, they are identical.

anybody out there know? (or at least to check how fast the graphics are running?)

January 4, 2009 at 11:16 pm #173560TeeceMemberIf you have a look at the Sammy website the specification for the Samsung NC10 states the chipset as the Intel 945GSE, however most of the items have (optional) after them.
