I thought I would go ahead and make a poll as I am very interested to see what the results will be.

No problem. 😉I love this site by the way Jez. As you might have noticed, I, like a lot of people, are really getting a lot of use out of it so thank you again.
Back on topic, I would say i will be getting very good battery life out of my NC10, as my brightness is quite low.
November 24, 2008 at 2:48 pm #171072jezMemberThanks for the compliment mate! Glad it’s turning out to be a good site. Like I’ve said around the place before – I’ve always wanted to run a little site!
November 24, 2008 at 3:12 pm #171078SerendipMemberAnd now that I’ve figured out how to change it (sometimes, RTFM really does help!) I’ll likely lower it a bar from 4 to 3, maybe 2. This is a VERY bright display.
And ditto about this being a great sight, jez… thank you! 🙂
November 24, 2008 at 3:25 pm #171074RsaeireMemberLooking at the current poll results, it looks as if the majority use it at half brightness and below. I honestly can’t imagine using it brighter than that indoors as you’d be just asking for a headache.
Regarding the brightness. Has anybody noticed that the brightness setting resets itself to full brightness after a reboot? I noticed it initially and then after awhile it stopped resetting itself, but then started again. I can’t say I changed any specific setting, as I was installing all my applications during the times I noticed the issue, but it’d be nice to know if there is an option available, so can ensure it is either ticked/unticked.
November 28, 2008 at 4:26 pm #171075RsaeireMemberI thought i’d bump this thread in case some people have missed it. I am still interested in more users’ results.

8? Please tell me you either use it outside or you wear sunglasses while using your NC10. 😉November 28, 2008 at 4:47 pm #171079hefMemberis there no way for us to see the results without voting?

That and several other preferences like to reset themselves. I think it’s a Windows thing, but perhaps it’s peculiar to the NC10.November 28, 2008 at 5:01 pm #171082TCMemberAnybody try it outdoors on a bright day yet?
