My pointer opens files and windows without my clicking on them. Thsi gives the feeling that the NC10 is out of control. I prefer to click/ doubleclick when I want something to happen but can’t find anything in the pointer config to suppress this behaviour.
Has anyone else noticed this and found a way to suppress it?
What you may be experiencing is called “tapping”. You may be accidently tapping the touch pad and it interprets this in the same way as you clicking the left mouse button.
To turn this feature off follow these instructions.
Go to Control Panel
Go to the Device Settings Tab
Go to Tapping
Uncheck “Enable Tapping”
With this feature turned on you will need to use the single click bar underneath the trackpad to perform left and right clicks with the pointer.
In my opinion, tapping is very useful but does take some time to get used to.
You need to disable “Tapping” in your mouse settings
Control Panel > Mouse > Device Settings > Settings > Tapping
Then uncheck the “Enable Tapping” box
Is there an echo in here? lol 🙂
It had no replies when I started to type my answer! 🙂
