MemberI had a very bad experience with them last year and so wouldn’t touch them myself, but that’s a good price .
Though they are owned by DSG group, I believe they are actually based in France so as to keep prices low (but they do promise you won’t get stung by customs charges). As such, I wouldn’t rely too much on 2-3 days delivery being accurate, especially as it’s taking even longer than that for people who order direct from Currys at the moment.

MemberI’ve had a bad experience with them too but it was about 8 years ago so shouldn’t really use that as evidence of them being rubbish. That price is very good too…. if only I had the money waiting

MemberAnd remember that we can only report back our own experiences which is fair enough but writing off a company on one experience is not really fair and potentially defamatory. That said I have read about people having occasional issues around manuals and things not being in English in the past although I understand power cables are supplied for the correct location just fine.
I have bought from them 2 or 3 times and they were perfect 🙂

MemberOkay, I’ll be the crash test dummy for this offer. Just ordered for £282.30 delivered so I will report back in no more than ‘2-3 days’. I had initially been after a black one but the blue will do for the price.
Let’s hope my experience is more Jez than Becky.

Memberjez, hope I didn’t come across defamatory in my post, I just wouldn’t buy from them myself. 🙂
mother – I’m sure everything will go smoothly for you and look forward to hearing about your bargain buy in a few days. They were a little slow to deliver for me (took about a week I think) but my biggest issue with them was support-related and hopefully that’s something you won’t need to touch on anyway. 🙂

MemberI’ve ordered a lot from Pixmania in mainland Europe and not had any problems. However they don’t offer computers with English keyboards/OS so I’ve had to order from Pixmania UK. Hopefully there won’t be any problems as I’m only in the UK for a short time this month.

[/quote1228251309]Oh that’s fine, no worries, when I look at some of the things people write on high profile boards I wonder why I worry. But when I look into the legal advice everyone is like “oh you have to be very careful”. I need to relax lol.
I think companies would do well to remember that it takes one bad experience to put a customer off forever. Especially in the UK where we stereotypically vote with our feet rather than complain!

MemberWell it arrived last night, 1 day later than it should have but for £282 delivered I can live with that. Good Pixmania experience, I even got an email from them on Saturday apologising that it would be delivered a bit late.

MemberMine also arrived yesterday – and there was an e-mail on Saturday apologising for a delayed delivery due to a “technical incident”! Was yours from the Chelmsford DHL centre as well?

Memberdid you get UK style keyboards with these Pixmania netbooks?
I can get a white one for £304 delivered at mo with voucher, which seems to be cheapest right now
