Output to TV Cable?

Hi

Sorry if this has already been covered – can’t seem to find anything about this when searching the forum.

I have an NC10 on order and want to know what cable to buy to output to my (old CRT scart) TV?

This is to watch films on etc, and also to maybe browse the internet through the TV screen. Can this be done ok? Is there any problems with this?

In the absence of an authorative answer I would imagine it would depend on the available options for connection on the TV and whether a suitable cable is available.

A secondary consideration would be whether it could be configured as a viable “second display”.

It would certainly be almost plug & play with an LCD or Plasma screen with a matching connector.

That is likely something that will work great.

However, does anyone know of a device that will take VGA and convert it into true HDMI? I realize HDMI is a digital signal and VGA is obviously analog, but that would be awesome to output true 1920×1080 when I needed to (I know GMA950 can output 1920×1080 to an external display.)

Also, yes — a secondary device IS supported as evidenced by the second monitor output in display (settings tab)
