MemberOK, extremely useful!
Another Firefox plug-in, bookmark synchronizer Foxmarks, is a must have add-on too.

MemberNow all that’s left is to get rid of the title bar using the following add-on.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9256
It’s in BETA so you need to log in to download it. I got a password from bugmenot.com.

MemberThat’s a pretty sweet mod, although I think I’ve come up with something better.
First, do a few things to maximize the space you have already: take out the status bar under “view,” and customize the toolbar to have small icons (right click, go to customize, and then select the “use small icons” option).
Second thing to do is be in full screen mode. If you’re like me, you don’t want to have to push f11 every time you turn on Firefox. To avoid this problem, install the add-on called Autohide which is located here: http://www.krickelkrackel.de/autohide/autohide.htm I know the “Use Autohide at your own risk!” seems scary, but this mod doesn’t seem to be destroying my computer. Anyway, if you install this add-on, press f11 to go into full screen mode and altf4 out of Firefox, every time you open up Firefox, it opens up in full screen.
The third and final step which was very important to me was installing the add-on called Speed Dial located here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4810 This baby lets me assign all my bookmarks a number and access them by simply pushing control-#. Without Speed Dial there is no way to access bookmarks while Firefox is in full screen mode.
Here’s the end result.
Before: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a324/nebojats/untitled1.jpg
After: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a324/nebojats/untitled.jpg
And note that in the after screen shot, the only reason you see the toolbar at all is because I’m holding my mouse over it. Otherwise, the toolbar is hidden and the entire nc10 screen in its minuscule glory is devoted to the website you’re visiting.
Let me know if this works out for you and if you have any ideas for improvement!

MemberWhy not just use F11 and have it display Full Screen.
The whole upper bar section disappears and you get a full display of the web page

MemberAnother useful add on is compact menu 2
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4550
This puts all of the menu items under a single icon

[/quote1229983250]Too clever, too simple. It needs to be more complicated and use 300 hacks and plugins, man!!

MemberHaha! Yeah Theo I think newst answered your question pretty well.
Basically I like using full screen but I got tired of pushing f11 every time I started up. This way Firefox starts automatically in full screen and I can access bookmarks (which you can’t otherwise do while in fulls screen).

Memberother Add-on apps that I use and work well:
Ad Block Plus: self explanatory
Colorful tabs: adds some color and other options to firefox tabs
Compact Menu 2: similar to tiny menu
Google Preview: shows a small page preview of each search result
Tweak Network: improve your download speed by modding advanced settings
Text link: lets you double click on a URL on a page and automatically opens it in a new tab. even if its not set as a hyperlink
GUI:Config.. A graphical interface to modify advanced firefox settings
IE Tab.. Lets you open pages that require IE within Firefoxright click on the menu bar and you can turn off the menubar after installing compact menu 2 this deletes one row of menus so you can see more screen.
again right click and choose customize and then check the use small icons box
there are also compact themes available on the firefox site that will give u a bit more screen space or make it more readable. Try Microfox or HmmXP…Here is my screen without using F11 if I could just hide the title bar and move the close/minimize button down one row Ill be set
