Blogeee is reporting that there may be some new models coming in April. Would this be the NC11, or other variants?
Possibly the new samsungs based on the ION?
Hmm, I may have to wait now.. argh!
that is not a netbook, what are they doing?
If some of the rumours are true it looks as if they are expanding the screen but reducing hard-drive size and even CPU speeds? Hmm.
theyre not just recuding it’s cpu speed, they are downright crippling it with that via piece of crap.
horrible spec.
DOES NOT WANT.
my first laptop had a 12.1 screen and that was a 1024 x 768 res, which was fine

In that case, you’ll probably be getting a new computer in 2050 😀 There is always something new 6-9 months out. Just get it when you need it 🙂
As to the reduced speed reference – we can’t say that it’s true as it’s a different processor. Just comparing 1.3ghz to 1.6ghz is apples to oranges. It is certainly possible that it will be more efficient, and therefore ‘faster’ at a slower speed.
True on both counts hufn!!

Probably the NC20.
NC20

um, isn’t that the 360? which is about three times the price of the NC10?
yeah if those specs are right then it isn’t a next netbook model, it’s a full blown notebook. To me a netbook must have a screen size or no more then 10″
i presume thats there competitor to the macbook air then?
I disagree with the comment that the screen size should be no more than 10 inch’s.
I would say the size of the machine should be no larger than it currently is.
Given the space around the current screen, I believe you could just fit an 11 inch screen in.
The Tech news over the last couple of weeks, indicate probable things to come internal 3G modems, dual atoms and an NVidia Graphics chip which will substantially improve Games performance and anything requiring graphics & Windows 7 looks like it would happily run on the NC10 so looks like it will be faster in real world use than XP on latter versions of the NC10.
I’d also hope for 1024 by 768 resolution on the screen and a larger Trackpad, better speakers and N wireless & Gigabit ethernet.
That the combination of new equipment Windows 7 (Bios Tweeks) and possibly widespreed use of SSD drives with decent capacities may mean that Battery Life exceeds 8 hrs.
So overall see whats available next christmas
I think 10 to 12 inches is an ideal size for a modern netbook/laptop.
