some places list the ethernet as just 10/100, other places list it as 10/100/1000…
what is it actually? does it do a gigabit?
I don’t think it is gigabit i assume the spec’s must of got a bit messed up when they were released
i’v just checked device manager and its only 10/100
10/100 sounds right. I am using wireless at 54Mbs despite having a wired network of 100Mbs.
cool. was jsut wondering for the sake of file transfer purposes as wifi is pretty terrible for it.

I agree totally, but I have two WAP’s bridged in the house, basically I use the second to turn a network printer into a wireless device but theoretically it it also strengthens the signal for the desktop upstairs.
For me the benefits of wireless outweigh the negatives of lower transfer speeds.
yeah, sending pages to a printer isn’t really the same as tranferring a bunch of gigabytes of music and video man… i have a library of like 2.5 terabytes of tv and music.
doesn’t matter how strong your 54g signal is, cabled connection is gonna wipe the floor with it for file transfer.
