Simple question I couldn’t find a definite answer: Do I void my NC10’s warranty if I change the keyboard by myself? There are no seals to be broken or anything as far as I know.
The only place to get a definitive answer is from Samsung themselves. Drop them an email and they will reply. Pugrider mentioned they now have a live chat facility on their site so you can speak to support directly.
I am sure posts on this site are always made with best intentions but if you want to be 100% sure you are getting the official advice please talk to Samsung :). The content on this site is produced by fans so you should always approach any comments with an appropriate degree of caution.
If you want my best guess – I’d say that changing your keyboard would result in warranty problems.
Heh, thanks, actually I realised the same thing later myself but didn’t want to erase the whole topic.
A CSR from Samsung Finland said that changing the keyboard myself would not affect the warranty. He couldn’t say it right away but after confirming the fact from somewhere so I trust it’s correct.
