MemberI just assume that things like upgrading the HD to an SSD, replacing the default wireless card with the Intel 5300, and upgrading to 2GB of RAM is still done in the same way on the new special edition NC10-11PBK as with the old one.
Is this a correct assumption?
Also, what’s a good SSD to put in? I don’t need a whole lot of space, maybe 30-60GB. Nothing too expensive, maybe $120-150 is the limit. I’m interested, but it’s a pricey mod right now.

I don’t speak from practical experience but I would say this is a very safe assumption that there won’t be any changes to the internal layout, connectivity or specification of these items in the NC10-11PBK.February 16, 2009 at 8:35 pm #183888fcat
MemberI wouldnt assume too quickly till someones taken the back off one, the power supply and most of the other external connections are in totally different places on the exterior of the new one so who knows!!

Are you confusing the NC10 Special Edition (NC10-11PBK) with the NC20, I though the NC10 Special Edition had its external connectors in exactly the same locations as the standard NC10.My bet is that the internals are going to be pretty much the same, at-least as far as hard drive, WiFi card and RAM. I would expect to be able to replace them the same as you would in the standard NC10.
