MemberI’ve had my NC10 for about 2 weeks. After a while the right speaker stopped working. I had no interest sending it back because I live in Sweden and bought the NC10 from UK (Samsung has not released the NC10 in Sweden and doesn’t seem to have any plans to do so). Well to make a long story short I opened up the casing and the speaker seemed to work if I bend it a little, I had to heat up the plastic casing around the speaker to get it to work again but now it works perfectly again! I would however not recommend this solution for anyone.

Membersounds like it was simply a bit of bad wiring. you probably re-soldered the connection accidentally by heating it.
i’m interested in seeing if the speakers can replaced with better ones. i don’t have high hipes though.

MemberI have found the manufacturer that makes the speakers for the NC10:
http://www.veco.com.tw/all-index.htmMy speaker has unfortunately stopped working again so I’m trying to find some replacement. Warranty is void anyway because I have opened up the computer so my only option now is to fix it myself. I cannot however find the exact model of that speaker on their homepage. Can anybody help?

Memberget a ruler and measure it.
all the stuff they sell in the square speakers section is jsut specified as dimensions in millimetres.November 26, 2008 at 9:06 am #170656Freddy
MemberUpdate:
After talking to VECO http://www.veco.com.tw, the manufacturer of the speakers in the NC10 the articlenumber / modelnumber of the speaker set is supposed to be PB2010KMG04-9GH
Hope this is helpful if you ever need to change the speaker in the NC10 or check the specification of the speakers used.

MemberTrue, the model above is not listed on the site.
The speakers are 20x10x9mm (LxWxH)May 18, 2009 at 7:21 am #170662stormy
MemberHmm, my speaker is doing the same on the right chanel. It keeps working, then not working. I thought it was a driver issue but I don’t see how it can be really.
With it being less than a month old I suppose I should probably get in touch with Samsung, is this a common fault?

MemberI have owned my NC10 since February and I havn’t had a problem with them. Just remember that if you take the main back panel off it could void the warrenty and samsung will send it back with no repairs done.

MemberThe right speaker in my NC10 has recently stopped working. I bought it in February 09 so I guess I will try and get it fixed on the Warranty. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Participantpauljw – Have you tried re-installing/upgrading the driver?

MemberPauljw – did you have the repair under warranty?
I think the right speaker in my N110 is staring to flake out; occasionally, it crackles or gives intermittent sound…
