after doing a crucial scan my results were:
max capacity: 2gb
current capacity: 1gbnumber of banks: 2
available slots: 1is there something wrong with the site, because accroding to the forums ram guide they took out only 1 stick of ram to be replaced by another.
Bobby – there is only one accessible slot through the access hatch. The guide is not wrong on that ;)!
There may be another internal slot?
Having done the modification I can guarantee that you remove a 1gb stick and replace it with a 2gb stick. I’ve had the back off to install a 7200rpm HD and saw no sign of any additional RAM slot.
It may be like the aspire one,on the other side ot the motherboard(motherboard has to be taken out!)there is the ram slot for additional ram maybe,samsung have the same as this and just made the original slot fully changeable so no need for the other?
A quick test, by removing RAM and starting the system, shows no other RAM present. This was done on the assumption that the OS needs RAM to work and if there was more then what’s in the RAM compartment the OS might have fired up. Unless it’s used for other things.

Thanks for that,I’m sure its just a crucial error,Their online thingy made an error with ram for me before…quiet annoying
