No, it doesnt depends on how much memory, but how much memory SLOTS. All netbooks have one, so the power consumption is the same for ram.
I think I’m going to go with Samsung…

im using gskill clocked at 4-3-3-10 not sure theres much of a performance difference but i like to think so. its stock timings was 4-4-4-12 but i was pleasantly surprised to see that my nc10 moved the times lower.
here is the memory i got off ebay.. its Samsung… 2GB 800mhz.. just installed it and it works fine..
