ParticipantCan you post the links to some of the websites you were having trouble with then?
Just checking but you do realise that the Atom processor in the NC10 is very underpowered for tasks such as video re-encoding.
Have you tried increasing the resolution (virtual desktop) by right clicking on the desktop > desktop properties > settings tab > advanced button > monitor tab > uncheck “hide modes that this monitor cannot display”, then go back and change your resolution to be higher.
EDIT: It’s not eRightSoft’s video converter program called Super is it, as that’s available on the internet?

MemberYeah, SUPER’s annoyingly tall for the NC10’s screen. (Also slightly too wide for a rotated NC10 screen, but it would be usable.)

Memberwot do u mean super is available on the internet i dont understand and how it is super by the way so u saying my processor wont be able to cope with video conversion as its for my ds so i can watch dpg movies

ParticipantWhat I mean is that other people can download super off the internet and run it to see what the problem is.
As for the processor, what I’m saying is that it will work but it will be very slow. Converting video from one format to another is processor intensive and the Atom N270 in the NC10 (and other netbooks) is underpowered for this.
EDIT: Super runs fine if you follow the instructions in my previous post as far as window size is concerned, though it does seem rather slow.

eRightSoft’s SUPER is a freeware video conversion program. It could use a UI overhaul, and not just because it’s much taller than the NC10 screen. (691-pixel tall screenshot)February 26, 2009 at 10:19 pm #184485Billy Balthorpe
MemberI use Super on my desktop computer (20″ WS lcd monitor) and it is a PITA on that as well – mainly because the window will not stay where you want it but keeps moving to a predetermined position. But, I wouldn’t use the NC10 for video converting anyway.

MemberThanks for the tip on the virtual desktop, the apparent lack of was about my only complaint about the NC 10.
I wonder why they hid it, every other laptop I’ve had, and there have been a few, has had it directly on the settings/screen resolution.
