it was on sale for £169.99 from buyista power seller. I got it for the same price at his auction (i’m not really an auction sniper) waiting to get it within days I will update you with the quality of service and product. It says that has bluetooth but I understood that only the n150 plus has bluetooth (and apparently 3g dongle) can anyone clarify me N150 plus specs:
– processor N455 (like the one in ebay) or N550
– batter 4000 mAh or 6600 mAh
– bluetooth 2 or 3
– predisposed for 3g or not?Cheers

Got a standard N150 with Bluetooth and SIM card slot, but apparently there are several different models – mine is the NP-N150-HAV1UK

Contents and colour of Samsung Netbooks TEND to equate to the Model Code on the paper Label UNDER the Netbook… So unless you get it in your hands… you might not get to know which version you are buying… till you get it in your hands…
I have TWO N150 Plus Netbooks, one with Dual Core N550 CPU and the other, a single core N145 CPU
I also have an N150 which has HSPA (thats 3G) also with N145 Single core CPU – (it is NOT a Plus)
ALL three have Bluetooth 2.
ALL three came with 4400mAh batteries (3 – 4 hour)
The NON plus, is the only one WITH 3G (HSPA)The HSPA version has a (mechanical) Wireless/3G switch on the right SIDE near the front USB slot.
The HSPA versions are labelled NP-N150-HAW1UK /HAV1UK /HAZ1UK /HAH1(Italy)
So far, All drivers seem to be shared – though the Animation for my HSPA version includes WLAN and 3G on/off states where-as the Plusses have a simple WLAN On/Off Animation.
If you do get the HSPA version… here’s how to Operate the 3G/WLAN functions (no instructions with 2/hand stuff!)
Push SIDE switch forward and release. with NO blue light showing by the switch EVERYTHING WIRELESS is OFFPush SIDE switch forward (again) and release. with BLUE light ON – Everything Wireless is enabled…
(assuming you have Easy Display Manager installed)
Tapping Fn+F9 shows Animation with 4 Positions…. WLAN+3G ON – WLAN ONLY ON – 3G ONLY ON – WLAN+3G OFFRepeatedly tapping Fn+F9, will cycle the animation through each position.

now the questions:
– how differently is performing the N550 from the N455 (i.e. how faster is the dual core? how faster is draining battery?)
– is the battery that short lasting? I read that is a 6 cell (that’s why I bought it) and should last 8 hours
-with the 3G setting I assume I will have to put the sim card somewhere? or I still need a dongle (sim usb adapter)? I have seen many review in youtube but none of them talked about the 3g switch… as soon as I will get the computer (today or tomorrow) I will tell you.
– suggested programs? I am a researcher in uni hence will need office-like package (if microsoft which version between 2003 2007 2010 2011) perhaps latex but also communications (skype) entertainement (i was thinking vlc and foobar). I will also have a lot among the thread for something relevant.

Received today, it is the 3g model (switch on right hand side) it has some preinstalled 3g software from orange (hope is not locked) and has office 2007 trial for 60 days (not nice) and is a N450 despite the ads said n455. by the way I just realized after few days that the thread is about N510 and I went on about my N150 sorry for the off topic. I apologize!
