I’m setting up the Samsung N145 (n450) for my other half for xmas. Can anyone help me get the thing running as best as possible. I have noticed the netbook struggles with some online video (iplayer) and even typing into this forum the text is slow to load up.
I have norton av and am trying firefox and chrome as browsers.
Any help would be appreciated.
Also I am not getting anywhere close to the 10 hour battery advertised – prob 5 max. Any reason for this?
I upgraded my N145 to Windows 7 Pro, and then added all of the drivers and software. I too have Norton 2011 and have no problems running BBC iPlayer (although the sound is dull with the SRS software on).
I upped the RAM to 2GB and have found it just makes the system that little bit smoother:)
Regarding battery life, the most you will probably get is 7-8.
