MemberOk its the start of another 12 hour shift and I thought lets see how long sammy runs on batteries until windows decides to shut down.
Battery Manager normal
Wifi on but not connected
BT on but not being actively usedmainly going to be listening to music via Winamp & headphones but just to give the CPU a bit of a work out I’m running Geiss in Directdraw desktop mode(ie as a ‘moving desktop’)
May watch some TV previously downloaded via Itunes using media player as well & possibly a little internet usage via a LAN cable
Anyone want to run a book on what time of morning it’ll finally give up ;o)
(*** wrong forum , meant to put this in general, sorry)

Memberthis needs to be done more objectively.
we need someone to cue up 10 hours of 720p video in vlc and let it run with brightness in the middle and volume at full blast with wifi on but not doing anything and bluetooth on but not doing anything.
that way we see what the life is like while its actually doing something.

Memberare those battery tester apps any good?
A quick google throws up something like:

Memberadmittedly not 100% objective but pretty representative of day to day usage
Only reason the WiFi isnt connected is that I dont have access to a WAP in this office, have to wait for Xmas day to test that way 🙂

MemberI don’t think the NC10 can run 720p video for 10 hours 😉
I have made my own test, running 720p video and then I get 5 hours and 40 minutes (brightness 3-bars), speakervolume on half though.[quote1229030786=hef]

MemberThe criticism again Batteryeater Pro is that it really doesn’t test day-to-day use. It’s a good program to compare one netbook against another tho’
