Hi All,
I am new to this game so any help please.
I am running XP on NC10 (blue) trying to load Office Pro 97 from HP1040e DVD via USB, all works well apart form Outlook – it just will not open, did have aerror message at one point saying “htmlmarq.ocx unable to register in registry” does the XP software not like Office 97? I have loaded this before onto other PC’s..
Help! please
CBNDOG
Service Pack 2 issue. See post to article and try the workaround. Helped a lot of people:
Windows XP Service Pack 2 disabled the HTMLmarq.ocx
Active X feature for security reasons.
One workaround that has been suggested by others is
to modify both .ocx files whose names start with HTMLm
in this registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionImage File Execution Options
from .ocx to .old
