Hi, gonna bite the bullet and get a manbag, far too many gadgets to put in the pocket, but what to get??
I want a leather a4ish type bag, i guess something like this…

That’s 10.2 inches wide so should do the trick but maybe not much padding?
Anyone admit to having a manbag? What do you like about it? What don’t you like? Do you get taunted by colleagues at work? Do you have any recommendations?
I would want to have my laptop, 2 PDAs (one personal, one work), maybe a copy of metro or shortcut, some keys and a wallet.November 27, 2008 at 10:48 pm #171932Richard TMemberI’m into photography so i have a rucksack bottom half cameras top half perfect size for NC10,maybe have a look for a local shop that shops crumpler, not leather but they are nice
November 27, 2008 at 10:52 pm #171934StyxMemberI will admit that I have a manbag, I got it for about £20, it’s plain dark grey/black canvas with a zipped smaller outer pocket, spacious interior and button pouch on back. For an idea of size it holds a standard A4 ringbinder neatly.
It doesn’t really have much padding to it but it’s quite tough material. I will get something like a neoprene slip for it when it arrives and cart it about in my bag, It shud fit fine and there will be room for my wallet, keys, blackberry, work folder and power lead stuff if needed.
I’ve never got any flak for having one really and as a result of me having one I know at least two of my colleagues have followed the trend. It’s pretty inconspicuous and probably looks more fashionable than a briefcase and is comfortable to carry.
Your leather one there looks pretty good, probably would provide more protection than mine and seems like it has good space for gadgets. I don’t think you’d regret it – much better than having a jacket bulked out by endless crap.

I love the idea of being able to ‘sling’ the nc10 into my bag and go out….that’s probably best done with a slipcase! And with that in mind, don;t need to be too concerned with paddin g provided by manbag. Hmmm….

The leather is kinda padded and therefore would protect the netbook inside… even with the supplied excuse of a sleeve that was provided by Samsung

I have carried a messenger bag or other type for some time now.
I have a high-end recommendation that I warn you is expensive but really cool. They have UMPC specifc bags as well as messenger bags and other shapes.
The neat thing is that you can totally customize the colors and details.
I have a messenger and a BB case from them.
Welcome to my insanity 😉
I am currently looking for a cheaper sleeve option as well
edit. finally figured out the linking!
