MemberSilly me installed this so I could get some games working on my NC10, never worked, so uninstalled it, now it has ruined Windows 7
Everytime I boot it wants to install the virtual drive, even though I have installed it, this of course is listed in my computer but doesn’t work.
Bad thing is it has stopped me acessing any of my drive partitions, so cant use explorer at all now, soon as I do the progress bar just keeps going up and thats it.
Have tried unlocker it will install but not open.
Has anyone got any idea’s or is my Win 7 clobbered meaning re-install jobbie.
Can use IE8 no problem, its just the rest of it.February 16, 2009 at 7:53 pm #184019Logan
MemberYou could try booting Windows 7 from USB and running the repair. This will give you two options 1) it’ll try to repair any abnomalies 2) give you the option to restore a system restore point.

MemberFor some reason there are no system restore points, checked that in safe mode, one options is to repair to its original state

MemberTry booting from the USB and running repair and when it finds the Windows 7 installation, boot to command line and type:
bootrec.exe /fixmbr and press enter

MemberHad to re-install in the end, no programs would fix it, didn’t matter what I did MagicISO still installed the virtual drive on startup, thus making it impossible to access my other drives.
So message to all do not install MagicISO in Windows 7.February 17, 2009 at 6:56 pm #184015Jonny Blond
Memberyou should have tried re installing magic drive so the pc worked correctly. ( although the program wont work ) then try uninstalling from safe mode including removing it from the start up in msconfig.
I have successfully uninstalled magic disk. and in its place i have installed Virtual Clone Drive. this works great.

MemberI did try un-installing, re-installing it. Maybe you just got lucky as it would not shift from my system, always wanted to install the virtual drive everytime I booted.
