I’m trying to substitute the broken lcd screen with a new one. Part of the process involves finding out the part nr. so that i can order the same piece as suggested by all installation guides. Unfortunately i’ve dismanteled the whole screen and i haven’t found the part nr.
There are 5 different 10.4″ screens by samsung and the models all start with “LT____” but i have not found any such code on the back of the panel.
Any suggestions?Almost forgot to point out that i did call samsung tech support, but their reply was they don’t have any such information….Just wanted to point this out b4 someone thought of giving this response..
If there are 5 different 10.4″ but not a single 10.2″ screen then you are out of luck.

I don’t think there are any. I wrote a question about it in the other post to this related problem. ScreenTek Inc (which i think is the biggest retailer of lcd screens) has all samsung screens and the smallest they get is 10.4″, and which laptop would that be?
I Think that if you consider the space occupied by the frame-brackets when dismantled a 10.2″ screen actually measures 10.4.
