Really enjoy using the NC10, bought on the back of quality reviews and the quality of this site and its contributors.
There are only 2 things that bug me about the NC10
1. Booting USB Sticks / No Custom boot menu (not day to day important.
2. Keyboard layout, I guess I have the en-GB, not sure on the acronyms, but somehow they’ve managed to get the right Shift wrong, shortened in and put the backslash key where the shift should be, leaving a longer and weirder left shit key.
I have two options:
1. Live with it.
2. Have a look at the other Keyboards I might be able to replace it with…
I have no idea where to find pictures or layout diagrams for this… I am vaguely considering a US one if it resolves the Shift thing, but then you get the dichotomy of the enter key being possibly minuscule.
Its a riveting issue that I am hoping someone can guide me on.

Member1. what is your problem? can’t boots from USB stick? you can set it in bios.
2. you have a UK version of NC10, all the UK version is the same, the layout of US/HK version is what you want…February 16, 2009 at 7:15 pm #184009fcat
MemberYou have a third option!!
Just re map the key to a key that you seldom use(i used the one below the esc key) and then re map the key to make it right shift!! that way you have in effect 2 right shift keys next to each other and it doesnt matter which one you hit!! i did this from day one on my NC10 and its great!!

[/quote1234811974]1. The issue is some BIOS allow a more dynamic listing and selection of USB devices, like I say its not mission critical so selecting the device in the BIOS screen instead of tapping ESC or something… just when you try and play with the occasional crazy Linux Distro its gets a bit tedious.
2. I will look into the US/HK, are there are pictures I can look at / for, for those layouts?
As for the remapping of the key itself, I need that key for the pipes and the very occasional backslash when I am m/ being leet. 😉
