MemberI think opinions on this forum are going to be very biased…. having stated the obvious YES the NC10 is a fantastic netbook at if you can get it for under £300 then it is a bargain in my opinion!

MemberSpec wise the NC10 is no different from the like of the MSI wind, Advent and EEE PC. The design is better as in it’s slightly better looking but where it trumps the rest is battery life. And as adatay says, if you can get it foir under £300 it’s a bargain.

MemberI looked at all the netbooks under (and a little over) £300, but plumped for the Samsung on the basis of :
1) Good keyboard (THAT right hand shift key excepted of course)
2) Great battery life (5+ hours is genuinely achievable)
3) Good looking screen – It looked better than the competitor netbooks I compared it against. It’s smarter looking than some, too, and I’ve not had any reason to regret my purchase so far.

MemberAt the current time, imo, the NC10 is the best buy. We all know that will change next year at some point! But if you have a desktop and want something to carry round with you that is usable then you won’t be disappointed!

Better than Asus 1000H in my opinion!

MemberI used to have an EEE 701 and I will never buy an EEE pc again because I felt like I was ripped off regarding the battery life which was very poor. NC10 rocks!

MemberGreetings,
I have just come over to the dark side, after buying a black NC10.
Not new to netbooks having eeePC 701 and 900 netbooks also, but agree with the comments about keyboard and battery life – they are what swung it for me.
I look forward to taking a good read of this fine forum.

[/quote1231090468]I too had a EeePC 701 and 900.
The NC10 is a fine beast and the battery life, keyboard and screen are well worth the change.

MemberGot NC10 black recently.
A little more expensive in €s in Ireland (354 elara.ie (gone up!) or 400 in PC world highstreet stores).
But NC10 has best reviews (for comp power, size (10″) and price) in both US and UK online sites like ebuyers or elara.
Much better BATTERY life for travelling – trains etc
Larger screen and keyboard – important for older eyes and slower fingers.
Good 1G RAM, and large 160G HD. (Can be upgraded)
XP similar to home and work.
Compared Advent and ACER but went for NC10 and very happy with decision.
Dont have external disk drive so yet to read samsung software disks or to load MS Office applications
GO FOR IT!
