I have tried all 3 ports, on AC, on Battery. Anyone else have same issue/solution? It worked before. I’ve rebooted, restarted iPod service, now I’m reinstalling itunes. But I hate doing that because it forces quicktime startup, apple mobile device, and bonjour. All BS that I don’t want/need.
Any replies appreciated.
Is your iPod showing that it’s charging? Does the cable work on another computer? It sounds like it might be an issue with either the cable, or perhaps the device drivers. Reinstalling iTunes might fix the problem.
Thxs for reply.
Yeah, I tried another cable, i’ve rebooted the ipod (hold-switch togle, Menu+Middle for 5 seconds). I think it’s reinstall itunes. I’ll know when I get home. If I had XP Pro, I would be able to do this shiz remotely. 🙁
Went into Device Manager, right clicked on the ipod and updated driver. It searched windows update, local, etc and made it USB Mass Storage Device and now it works like a baby. WTF was wrong? I have no idea why it changed whatever driver. It worked great the other day.
