MemberI have an iGo power adapter. You have to use a specific tip (plug) for the computer you have. In the past years I have used tip #12 for my Sony laptops. Now I have a NC10 and want to get hooked up for travel. Course it is brand new so there is no listing for it at the iGo site. http://www.igo.com/detail/IGO+PS00087-0002
Is anybody else using this system for their auto and airline power supply? If so, what tip number are you using for the NC10? I wrote to the iGo folks and they have not responded. Perhaps after a few people ask, they will take some time to research the power requirement and plug size and answer those who have asked.

MemberHello,
My name is Ross and I work for iGo. I wanted to let you know that we do indeed have a tip for the NC-10. It is compatible with tip 22. Here is a direct link to this tip.

I am sorry you could not find it. It should be up online already, and I am looking into that.
Thanks,
Ross

MemberThanks Ross. I saw the #22 was compatible with a lot of Samsung notebooks but did not know if the voltage for the netbook was different from the larger notebooks. Hence, the reason I asked here.
I don’t go anywhere without my iGo Juice 70. It has air/car/wall connectors so can power up the notebook with the dead battery just about anywhere. Having Sonys with their 2 hour or less battery life, the iGo is an essential traveling component. It won’t be as critical with the NC10, but I can still see it needed in those cross country flights when I want to watch a couple movies. Course its great for all day car trips, so the passenger has something to do. iGo and Sprint broadband make a long traveling day just another day on the Internet.

Ross:
I checked the site and didn’t see a power adapter for the NC10. Do you have one? Or could I use any standard power adapter?
Thanks 🙂

MemberI am using the iGO Juice 70 which is a discontinued model, but available from some locations, e.g. http://www.110220volts.com/PS00055-0003.html As best I can tell, that model has been replaced with the 85 at http://www.igo.com/detail/IGO+PS00087%2D0002 It appears the 85 does not include the wall (AC) connectivity. You might check with radio shack as they used to carry them. I don’t know if they still do.
Once you get the power adapter, you need the tip for the NC10. Ross said that was #22 which is $9.99 at igo.com

MemberYeah maybe Ross can check back in and recommend the right igo adapter too
the 130 everywhere would work but not the 85…
and it looks like there is an S22 for that one, but I dont know if its the same as the 22 he mentioned earlier.
For some reason the everywhere85 is not compatible???

MemberYou can get the tip S22 at Radio Shack for $4.97….
December 14, 2008 at 7:22 pm #175528wcw
MemberIt looks like the 22 works for 70 and 85. Whereas, the S22 works with the 130.
December 14, 2008 at 7:30 pm #175514PsychNC10
MemberBut not the everywhere85, it looks like just the car/plane one which is pretty lame
December 14, 2008 at 7:34 pm #175529wcw
MemberYea, I can’t figure out why they would make one for car and plane but leave out the wall AC connection. I always viewed my juice 70 as a temporary backup in case the power supply failed on my laptops that I’ve had in the past.
December 14, 2008 at 7:37 pm #175515PsychNC10
Memberand the 130 which does all 3 appears to be an older model and MUCH larger.
If I could buy the everywhere85 I would in a flash. As it stands, my money will be spent elsewhere unless Ross can offer a solution
December 14, 2008 at 7:40 pm #175530wcw
MemberYou can get a new juice 70 (which is a discontinued model) for a reasonable amount. I posted a link above. But I think I saw it in one of amaon’s partners for half that price.
December 14, 2008 at 7:42 pm #175516PsychNC10
Membernot a bad idea… if nothing else works I’ll try that. I wonder why they discontinued it.
December 14, 2008 at 7:44 pm #175531wcw
MemberNewer models that do the same thing?
Not as reliable?
Who knows?
