I’ve recently found some 4GB 200-pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2-5300 Memory Modules on the net. I believe this should fit, but will it function? Will it function but only recognize 2GB? I thought the 2GB limit may have only been because there wasn’t any 200-pin DDR2 memory that was bigger. I have also heard reports around the web that these 4GB modules work in the older Macbooks (which use the same memory). However there might be a hardware limitation I am not aware of, or even an XP limitation on the amount of memory recognized. Will this work?
Really great info here, was lucky to stumble upon this forum. Along the lines of tweaking and longer battery life, I’ve been searching for some time and wrecking my head in the process but can’t seem to find anything specific on the NC10s ability to Wake-On-Lan. Have been able to receive magic packets (with WOL Magic Packet Sender) while still on so I know it’ s getting through router, but can’t seem to wake from sleep or shutdown state. Had a look around in BIOS with ninja-like reflexes to hit F2 🙂 and nothing really certain. Can it be done? I have seen one other post mention how great it is so it must be possible.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Hope this thread is still going, it’s a great little machine.Edit: Have managed to get it to work from standby, just not hibernate or from shutdown.
