You may want to check out this thread for some solutions. But as Don_Audio said discussing ways of playing games without the CD/DVD is not allowed, Google is your friend.

As mentioned above there are a few threads discussing the technical side of moving your game around. I will see if I can round up some of the key points myself to add to the FAQ
I have Age of Empires 2 on cd, I do not wish to copy it as I know its not allowed, I’m new to netbooks so some help would be appreciated, only want to be able to play it on the NC-10 instead of my desktop. What are the alternatives?

The legal-in-all-areas alternative is to buy an external CD/DVD drive. Two other methods are mentioned here and in the thread s162000 linked to.
jez, it might be a good idea to put a sticky in this forum (and the Apps forum, really) outlining what is and isn’t OK to talk about. (Gotta love world-wide legal differences. :)
