I hear of people saying their sammy is running at 800mhz and such, but how do I know which clock speed my nc10 is running at a given time? Does it normally run in only 800mhz mode all the time and I have to enable some option to make it go the full 1.6ghz or what?

Just booted into XP and tried out the silent mode, interestingly with my limited testing it does appear to fix the clock speed at 800MHz.I guess that’s one way to reduce the amount of heat produced.

Yes i use silent mode quite a lot to save the battery and its definately sluggish with the stuff I have running but its still usable. I wonder if Samsung will release an update to overclock then seeing as we can underclock it so easily?January 5, 2009 at 12:29 pm #178420AlfiharParticipant[quote1231158243=s162000]Hmm interesting!

Bare in mind that the processor is designed to run at 800MHz as this is one of it’s P states.Interestingly by fixing the processor to run at only 800MHz it could actually increase power consumption. As racing to idle can be better than slow and steady, as the processor can enter a lower power state quicker.
