I have a logitech quickcam pro 9000 which I would assume is a much higher quality webcam than the one built into the nc10. If I wanted to hook it up and use that instead, would there be any problems?
Anyone else use a higher quality webcam on their nc10? Are there framerate issues or anything?
btw i dont have an nc10 yet…so i dont know what the quality of its webcam is…im just hoping not to get an answer that sounds like “why would you wanna do that? the nc10 webcam is just fine…”
The built in web cam is good. as far as webcams go. there will be no issues with using your external one though, you can run 720HD video at HD 1080 on the external screen and it runs brilliantly. ( just wached the imax Dark Knight on my 32″ tv through the sammy )

No problems using an external USB webcam on the NC10. However, in my opinion the built in one (although not amazing) is absolutely fine for day-to-day use, instant messaging, skype, etc.
While we are at this topic:
Everyone says that the cam works quite good for day-to-day usage but in my oppinion skype videochat is rather sluggish @ maybe 15fps.
Technical Limitation or problem on my end?
(Sorry for Thread-Jacking) 😉
hey…no thread jacking haha jk
yeah im hoping for a solid 20+ fps during a video chat so your question is appreciated in my thread…
does anyone use oovoo on their nc10? how does that perform? better/worse than skype? what about with more than 2 people in the video chat?
I’ve got the 9000 Pro and it works fine with the Sammy.
