howdy everyone!
bought my NC10 from Newegg last Thursday, got it on Monday and having a great time with it. What a nice netbook!!! I can type on this one without issue (I have larger hands and have touch typed for way too many years to get use to the smaller keyboards found on other netbooks)
had issues with wireless but just solved that with the latest driver download (yippie!) … so far it has been running GREAT! Had it running off the battery all day today … that includes lots of software installs, showing it off to people, surfing the internet, toying with the webcam, etc… so sweet not being tethered to a power outlet.
Very satisfied with this purchase!!

cerulean, thanks for the report on typing with big hands — very reassuring! I’m very interested in the NC10, but since the story so far in the U.S. is pretty much buy unseen or don’t buy, I’m glad to read the experience of braver folk! Your report that big hands are not a problem with the keyboard is helpful.
Another concern I have is the degree of screen washout when outdoors. I’m in indoors Wisconsin, but spend time outdoors on a shaded Tucson patio regularly, and am looking for a screen bright enough to not strain the eyes too much in that situation. Two older laptops and various CRTs and LCDs have proven to be at best annoying (truth: inadequate).
Judging from everything I’ve read, it would seem that the NC10 display might be up to the challenge of the glare of a shaded Arizona patio. Have you tried to use it outdoors at all?
