MemberI haven’t been on the forum for a long while…I took a break to focus on an MSc in Computer Forensics at the University of Glamorgan.
I used my NC10 (admittedly heavily modded) on an almost daily basis from receiving it as a Christmas present in 2009 to a couple of weeks ago when I finally relented to temptation and upgraded my netbook to an ultrabook (another Samsung, the 740U).
Happy to be here again…missed everyone 🙂

MemberWelcome back…
The same old faces pop up occasionally, but it is mostly quiet around here now-a-days…
everything quiet for a week or two then a query or two…

Memberyep, well as I posted to the blog (the first in a year) my poor NC10 is mostly retired now (actually my Mrs still uses it almost daily and I reckon it’s got a few years of life left yet!). I’ve now got a top notch Haswell powered Ultrabook and it really is like night and day. Of course the Ultrabook is very pricey so not for everyone. And the NC10 is prob the best value for money gadget I’ve ever bought. Nothing else had ever had so much use for so long!
As SammyOne says, the forum gets a couple of posts every now and then but it also still gets hundreds of hits a day so it is still proving a great resource for existing owners. There must be a million or so out there…
Unfortunately it’s also getting a tonne of spam but hopefully it is mostly hidden.
Thanks for popping by.
Cheers,

ParticipantTCMuffin – Welcome back and I hope you have been able to put the MSc to good use, well done.
I’ve not used the NC10 for two years after I got an Acer 14″ Aspire 4820T which has served well but I have been looking for an ultrabook for a while now.
In the in interim I got a Microsoft Surface. 🙂Things are pretty quiet on the forum.
