Hi,
My hard drive makes a loud click noise if nc10 is powered off by holding the power button or if you turn the system on, then back off, before it gets a chance to boot the os.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? The hard drive does not make any noise if the system is shut down correctly from the os.
I just upgraded my bios to .03CA, not sure if this problem was occurring with .02 version.
My hard drive is Hitachi HTS543216L9A300
I have also the same Hitachi-disk, also upgraded to this bios and have the exact same behavior on my NC10 if I do this. This happened with the old bios also, I do not think this is something to worry about or something wrong.
i think thats just the noise hitachis make when they lock off the read/write heads.
