Real newbie question. Sometimes when I tap or slide my finger across the trackpad my cursor becomes a grey swirl circle that doesn’t move. What am I doing wrong?
This is the multitouch feature, used for scrolling, pinching etc.
See you “mouse” settings in control panel (the Synaptics touchpad settings).
That’s the chiral motion. When you see it, it means that you’re touching the vertical or horizontal scroll. You can then run circle on your touchpad to scroll. It seems a number of people may not like it but I do.
