MemberHave installed this can’t seem to get the sound working, has anyone got this intstalled and running?
Okay problem solved, when GTA installed it mucked the sound driver up so no sound at all, reinstalled the driver and no problems now.
Runs really well, may give a more recent version of GTA a go

MemberGTA vice city runs ok? Cool, I might install the original GTAIII.
I wouldn’t be too hopeful about more recent versions but let us know how you get on if you try it!

MemberLooking at GTA IV I agree I’d be very suprised if it runs, as it looks much more graphic intensive .
However I have high hopes for GTA III San Andreas.
Just got to stop driving on the left hand side of the road, and get used to driving on the wrong side again

MemberThere is no way GTA4 would run, top of the line PCs can barely run it because it’s such a terribly coded port. As usual.

[/quote1231410787]I got fedup with crappy ports to PC and the ridiculous DRM so I just gave in and bought a 360! But There will always be Crysis, the one game that Xbox/PS3 can’t have.

[/quote1233392630]Do you have it running from the hard drive? If so how do you go about it? Or do you have a dvd drive plugged into your nc10?
Thanks for any info.

Some people have a ‘cracked’ exe file which gets round the need for the dvd. However this is illegal even if you own the original dvd.
I don’t think Jez would be too happy for us to give any further details on this sort of activity, so if you want to find out more I would suggest you Google it or something.

Search for Toed + GTA San Andreas 😉 Ripped version is a 700mb download and runs from HD flawlessly. PM me for more details.February 13, 2009 at 11:31 pm #178071Jonny Blond
Memberor use a virtual dvd drive like clone drive, so the pc thinks there is a disk in.
