MemberYes, today I received my NC10 by DHL in Riyadh. Ordered on 22 November. Waited until Provantage notified me on of the shipment on 11 December. I upgraded the memory with the 2GB stick that came with the shipment. Haven’t opened the lid yet, waiting for the battery to charge. Then I will create a disk image of the still unregistered XP OS using Acronis.
I also got my Samsung Q1U from Provantage more than a year ago. I can say that I am very satisfied with Provantage, definitely a THUMBS UP.
I do not work for Provantage, he he. Just my cent’s worth.

[/quote1229254604]Mostly yes. Mine needed a little charge before the charge light went green. The manual suggests ensuring you charge it fully.

Memberqqg3: I thought the battery came pre-charged?
Yes maybe the battery was pre-charged, but since I would like to make an image of the hard disk in its original unboxing state, where I boot Acronis from a pen drive, I cannot determine the battery charge and since the backup process may take time (actually 25 minutes for the entire HDD with 3 partitions C, D and the Recovery partition) I really need to be certain that the unit must not stop during the backup process. But honestly I think the exercise is just a waste of time because NC10 package comes with an XP software on CD and a DVD of the drivers. With these you can install the OS without some bloatware you may not like to install.

The weather here in Riyadh this time is cold, but I think not as cold as where you are in the UK.
