How did users get Age of Mythology working I tried in XP just got failed to initilize after the opening vid cut scene.
[/quote1239200989]Open the game in safe mode (Start> all programs> microsoft games> age of mythology> disgnostics> safe mode) and then change the resolution of the game down to 800×600. It then runs just fine after that.
Ill copy this into a PM for you incase you dont check back to this (rather large) thread.

MemberI tried Hearts of Iron II Doomsday Armageddon, it works perfectly with 1024X768. , just have to scroll during the game XD
Just go to Desktop properties—>Settings tab—>Advanced—>Monitor tab—>uncheck “Hide modes that this monitor cannot display”—->Intel tab—>Graphic properties—>Display settings—> And just change the screen resolution :p

MemberYeah, so even if you could get good performance, everything will be so small it won’t be a great experience.

MemberI’ve got the origional Diablo running ok. the characters are a bit short and fat but it works ok. i used (freddys suggestion) magic disk to keep it on the hard drive. runs a lot faster than the cd rom did.

[/quote1241097979]Good Idea, i’ll test Diablo II later this week, should be awesome expecially since Blizzard released a official No-CD Patch for the Game.

MemberDiablo II runs fine; we had an all-nighter not too long ago with 8 players. (I thought I’d posted about it, but I guess not. Ah, well.)
piedwagtail91: You can change how the video drivers scale resolutions less than 1024×600 in the driver settings. Changing it to not scale or to scale but keep the aspect ratio will prevent the short/fat look. FWIW, mine’s set to not scale.
