MemberHi Guys,
New to this wonderful community, and also new fan of NC10.I just got this cute blue one a few days ago, and I love it. There’s a lot to learn by just browsing the forum. So thanks a lot for abundant resources.
My question is not about the netbook, but about the IE and FireFox browsers. I hope you guys are OK with me.
Came from a 22″ Dell destop and 15.4″ Lenovo, the 10″ Samsung screen is kind of tiny for me. So I hit F11 to maximize the viewing screen when using IE or FF.
On Dell and Lenovo, the browsers automatically hide the URL, and even the tabs (for FF), and appear only when I move the mouse to the top of the screen. But on SS NC10, the URL and the tabs stay on the screen. I compared the settings of the browsers on the Lenovo and NC10, and did not see any differences.
Is there any way to make the URL and tabs automatic hiden on NC10? It will give me 1/2 inch wider.
For your info, I haven’ done any mod on this netbook.
Thanks a lot.

MemberI can’t answer your question I’m afraid as I don’t use either browser, but I just wanted to welcome you to the site. A more knowledgeable member will be along shortly to help you out. 🙂

MemberWhen I hit F11 on mine, it first goes to a bit larger screen for a second ( still see URL ) and a second later it goes to complete full screen until I hit F11 again to bring back the browser. HOpe this helps.

MemberI mentioned in another thread that for firefox there is an extension called “fullerscreen” to customize the F11 behaviour, it does what you want and more.

MemberI agree with FPP – I use an extension called fullerscreen which works perfectly. It works like a charm – so give that a try and let us know if you need any more help. Welcome to the site!

Still don’t know how the Dell and Lenovo can have full sreen even though I do not install this extension on both.
Thanks again guys for very valuable support.
