Guys, what does Fn+F8 do? I’ve got the little running man symbol there but for me it doesn’t seem to do anything.
The only Samsung software I have installed is battery manager, display manager and EDS.
It cycles through the different “speed” modes. So I think the first is for power saving, the second is normal, and the third throws all your power at the current application. Don’t use the 3rd one if multi tasking!
Details of all FN keys can be found in the manual, this should be supplied with your NC10 else get it from the official site.
When I press that combination, nothing happens. As for a manual, I didn’t have one in my box only Safety Instructions, Recovery Solution and Getting Started thing. Pretty poor that there wasn’t one provided.
Does a piece of software need to be installed for this to work?
at the desktop it will only cycle between the first 2 options
The manual should be on the software disc. It was installed on my NC-10 as part of the initial start-up process, but was blown off the HD when I switched to Vista.
On the software disc, if you choose the custom install option, you can select to only install the manual on the HD.
One caution, I read that there was an updated version of the NC-10 manual at the Samsung site for download.
