Let’s say 8GB.
Which one has the fastest read/write speeds? SD, SDHC, or MMC?
Hope I am comparing apples with apples?
I don’t think you can get an 8GB SD or MMC card, SD and SDHC are basically the same just that the SDHC supports higher capacities, MMC is an older format which as far as I know is slower than SD and SDHC.
However all the cards can vary speed wise, SD and SDHC cards have speed ratings such as the speed class which is the minimum speed, and also can have a maximum speed rating.
So you can’t really say one specific type of card is faster than the other, as it varies between cards.
EDIT: Just looked up some info, doesn’t seem like MMC is slower than SD and SDHC, though of course it depends on the speed of the individual cards. Also you can get 8GB MMC cards.
