MemberFallout 1 took a bit of mucking about but I did get it to run ok. It wasn’t because of the NC10 specifically but getting fallout to run under XP can be tricky. Also, you need the high resolution mod in order for the game to run with the NC10’s unusual res.
Wizardry 8 worked right out of the box no worries at all.

MemberHave you got the Fallout Collection? I was going to get it as its on Amazon for £6.50. I don’t know if these are XP optimised?

MemberI have teh Fallout Collection! I got it from Game in a 3 for 10 pounds section. Got Soldiers heroed of WW2 as well tho sadly it was to much for Sammy!
But Fallout I have found that the graphics go screwy while playing! I have not done any thing to try and fix this tbh. Not even installing the patch. I have never played a Fallout Game before so want to start at teh beginning tho I must admit Tactics apeals the most to me. I have never been into RPGs tho me and the GF got addicted to Guild Wars a few years ago!
I am loving Red Alert 2, which shockingly supports 1024 X 600.

[/quote1231950240]Sammy seems to cope well with anything 2D, even some modern stuff. I’m currently trying to get hold of a copy of Lemmings and Oh No More Lemmings! BTW what do you mean the graphics are screwy on Fallout? I’ve heard there are Hi-Res patches you can get?

MemberI had heard a lot about high res patches for the 2nd game but I have not heard anything for Fallout 1. Nor have a looked. The graphics kind of distort as you move the cursor around. I assumed it was an XP thing as it is an old old game but like I say I have the patch to install and see if that fixes it! It looks like a game that really needs teh sound on to enjoy and I always play in teh living room. House Mates would not like random sounds coming out of my corner 😉 I have turned on sub titles but sadly a 10″ screen is a tad small to make it comfortable to read.
Sid Miers Pirates runs very nice but again I can’t read what all teh ships are so have to get right up to them so see if they are worth attacking. Also teh number pad is a bit tricky on teh NC10 which is a shame as teh game suits casual gaming very well!

MemberNice, I’m playing Wiz at the moment, good to know I can just transfer my saved games over an continue on the go.
Got the Fallout collection too… happy gaming ahead then I guess.
(Edit… yep, the Fallout collection has new installers for XP.) Already played a bit of them on my big rig.
