So what’s the reason behind having these two keys only, in blue/navy plastic whilst the rest are black!? This is on my black NC10.
Ans it begs the question, why didn’t they make all the keys this blue/navy colour on the blue NC10!?

I can’t think of many good reasons, it might be that they are more software based whilst the other controls are controlling the hardware and are mostly toggles. Yeah that doesn’t really make much sense for the speed button. I think they are different coloured on some other Samsung laptops as well.
Hmm they are the only two keys which won’t work under other OS’s…
It may have been cheaper for Samsung to only produce two keyboards rather three different ones.

Oh…I lied….just spotted Jez’s entry in the Samsung NC10 FAQ thread:
“It is thought that they relate to the Samsung software controlled by FN + these keys”
Thanks for that! Anyone know what the two functions do? F7 doesn’t seem to do a great deal under Windows 7. F8 gives me three options to do with ‘speed’ and a running man icon. What does this actually do!?

I confess that my approach to reading instructions is “If all else fails…..then I’ll RTFM” !lolhehe – I read it back in the early days. My suggestion in the FAQ is just that, it seems a ew people have put forward that suggestion but I can’t find any hard fact lol!
