Been here for a while (#32) and made a few posts but now it’s time to say HELLO from Epsom, Surrey, UK.
Found the site very useful and friendly, well done Jez
Kevin
Cheers Kev – appreciate the post. In Surrey here too! Well on the border with Croydon.
I was in the Ashley center the other day! Quite like Epsom. We go to the cinema there sometimes. It’s a bit further away then some others but it seems a bit nicer! Kingston is a bit too far and Croydon is, erm, Croydon.
Might move over Epsom way one day, or Reigate ish perhaps. All depends on trains and how much house prices tank!
Do you like it round there?
Hi Jez,
I’ve lived in Carshalton, Surbiton and Ham in recent years and I have to say I much prefer Epsom. Work is based in Surbiton so easy commute. I live near Horton Park and love the countryside and easy access to the M25 for travelling further afield. We have occasional problems with the local youths but sadly that seems to happen in most areas. The Ashley centre is great, just enough essential shops but not enough for the wife to keep me shopping for hours!

rofl – that’s exactly what I was thinking.
I rented a flat in St.Andrews square for a bit. Used to like living in Surbiton but too expensive to buy there. It was a choice between a one-bed studio there or a 3 bed house further into Surrey. I miss the river and Richmond Park though.
It’s all coffee shops these days, and the old post office has changed slightly!
Cheers.
My first post – also in Epsom as it happens.
Useful forum – surprisingly full for such a new device!
