I was wondering if anyone knows why there is two Mobile Intel 945 Chipset adapters listed in my display adapter; three Plug & Play monitors under the Monitor, and two Intel Atom CPU listed under Processors. Is this normal to have this many of the same, if not, can is it safe to delete the redundant devices?
Thanks,
Sweet-P
I wouldn’t touch the two CPUs (not sure how it’s seeing double.)
For the graphics drivers, just boot into safe mode and remove them like that – remove both and then just reinstall. Same with the monitors.
Two display adapter listed as one is for VGA output. Two processors because there is hyperthreading on the Atom CPU.
If you delete two of the “Monitors” and then scan for hardware changes they are redetected and reappear in the list.
