Yeah, another noise question from me, but this time, a little different. I know we’re all still having a honeymoon with our nc10s and long may it continue but…
Does anyone elses nc10 ‘creak’ a little when you push down around the fan vent area? If it does, do you think it’s just a case of tightening the screws a little? what else could it be?Mine creaks a little if I push down around the edges, I think it’s just a simple case of having the silver strip included on the edge means that there are several plastic clips (holding the thing together), it’s probably just them moving very slightly under pressure. A bit like if you squeeze a TV remote control hard, they tend to creak too. I imagine it’s something along those lines anyway. With regard to the screws being loose, I wouldn’t have thought so as other have reported that they have a loctite compound on the thread. Also, screws in plastic should never be over tightened as it can strip the thread, make the screw more loose and therefore more creaky!
mine doesn’t if i press down while the nc10 is on a flat surface but if pick it up and squeeze the side around the usb socket next to the left ctrl key there is a bit of creakiness.
