I can’t understand why the white NC10 is nearly £7 cheaper than the blue!January 1, 2009 at 12:49 pm #178153dinoMember
in the event of the dreaded blotches (though it seems like this doesn’t happen so often on newer batches), do we know if the online stream of dixons/currys/pc world is compatible with the shops? as in, can you take it back to a store for a swap or do you have to end up posting back and forth?
EDIT: Thanks for the post theo! Snagged a blue for £290, minus topcashback of £9, and using my cashback credit card, for a total of £278!January 1, 2009 at 6:14 pm #178158jay_2kMember
I work for the company.
If u buy from Dixons you can’t return it to the store. the store does not have access to the Dixons on-line system. so it would have to be sent back to dixons.
If you buy from pc world/currys you can take ur purchase back to the store. BUT that has to be within 28 days. after 28 days you have to call a support number where they arrange a Currier to collect and for it to be tested and repaired/exchanged.
dino – as far as i know, the stock goes into one big pot in the warehouse and a computer just sends them to stores. I don’t know if the websites have stock put aside for sale.January 1, 2009 at 6:57 pm #178154dinoMember
thanks for the info jay_2k
so just like in the TV adds then…. the company is run by robots.
robots with blotches. scary. 🙂
EDIT: present company excepted of course!January 2, 2009 at 11:04 am #178156PanManMember
if you put in voucher code SALE25 it drops the price by a further 2.5 %
all with free delivery still
not sure how long the voucher code will be valid for thoughJanuary 3, 2009 at 5:24 pm #178152jezMember
Can’t add any more info on the codes as they don’t show up in their affiliate scheme, not yet anyway. Normally they email out new ones and include expiration dates etc. I’ll continue to post up any they let us know about!
If you wish to support this site feel free to click through one of the Dixons, Currys, etc links from the forum first :)! Last click gets the couple of pounds commission.January 3, 2009 at 5:44 pm #178157January 6, 2009 at 10:22 pm #178159mossmotorsportMember
I also work for Currys – and as someone else said – yes its run by robots who simply dont understand good examples of good customer service, helpful trained staff and competetive pricing strategies. I have worked for them for 6 years whilst doing A-Levels and now finishing off my degree – and still so many things wind me up about how they operate…
