hi all, ok so i know this might be the wrong place so mod please move if neccesary.
im trying to install tomb raider underworld and its all installed but wont play as everytime it says “failed to initialize direct3d with current settings”
anything i can do?
ive looked in the game section and alot of the games run which are similar spec to tombraiderHave you looked at minimum specs for TR:UnderWorld.
I can guarantee the Intel GMA chip certainly isn’t up to task of playing that game.
I’ve had Direct3D errors pop up on a couple of games, I’ve found this to be a resolution issue and the game will often work if you either increase the res on the NC10 (thus enabling a virtual, scrollable display) or output to an external display capable of a higher res.
Also bear in mind that the Intel graphics card in the NC10 doesn’t support hardware transform and lighting and this is a requirement in many modern games. In this case, you may be able to force the game to run with certain parameters (such as an older version of DirectX) but I don’t know how to do that with Tomb Raider Underground specifically.
