Hi friends,
I’m into day 2 with my new Sammy. How do I change the curser so that it doesn’t automatically “click” to what I’m pointing to? I’ll move it around and before I can click, it’s done it for me.
Thanks!
Right click the ‘Synaptics Pointing Device’ icon in the toolbar and untick ‘Tap to Click’
Hi mjpileggi, it sounds like your touch sensitivity could be set too low (light touch).
Go to Control Panel > Mouse > Device Settings tab > Settings > Sensitivity > Touch Sensitivity and move the slider towards Heavy Touch. Experiment with different settings until you reach a good balance between not getting “auto” click and not having to press to hard to click.
Billy, I can’t find this synaptics pointing device on the tool bar (bar at the bottom of the screen.
Chris, that worked for me, thanks!

It should be on the right hand side along with the sound icon, network icon etc. The icon looks like a grey box with two buttons underneath, when you put a finger on the the touchpad it’ll show colour.

Great 🙂 (the icon Billy is talking about may be disabled in settings – I choose not to show that icon either)
